Delivery System Guide

How drivers, orders, and delivery assignment work

Your Private Fleet, Your Responsibility

You manage your own drivers entirely. You add them, assign them to orders, and they deliver on your behalf. Your fleet is private — it does not appear in the Foodpoint marketplace. You control every delivery.

1

Adding Drivers

Go to the Drivers section in the sidebar.
Click Add Driver and fill in their full name, phone, and email.
The email you enter is critical. Drivers must log in using that exact email address. Double-check it before saving.
Only drivers with Active status will appear when assigning to orders.
2

How Drivers Log In

When a driver logs into the app with the email you registered them under:

1They will NOT see your store dashboard.
2They automatically enter the Driver Portal.
3From there, they receive and manage their delivery assignments.
Drivers must use the exact same email you entered. If they sign up with a different email, the system won't recognize them as your driver.
3

How Orders Come In

Orders can be created manually from the Orders section (Create Order).
Orders can also come from the Marketplace if you're listed there.
If an order is marked as a delivery, you must assign a driver before it can be fulfilled.
4

Assigning a Driver to an Order

This is how you connect a driver to a delivery:

1Go to Orders in the sidebar.
2Open the delivery order card.
3Click Assign Driver.
4Select an active driver from the list.
Only active drivers appear in the assignment list. If a driver is missing, check their status in the Drivers section.
5

Once a Driver Is Assigned

The delivery becomes active immediately.
The driver receives the order in their Driver Portal.
The route is calculated from your store location → customer address.
6

Driver Workflow

1Driver sees the assigned order in their portal and accepts it.
2Driver heads to your store to pick up the order.
3Driver picks up the order and marks it as picked up.
4Driver delivers to the customer and marks it as delivered.
7

Live Tracking

Once the driver is en route, live tracking activates.
You can see the driver's progress in the order card.
The customer also receives a tracking link to follow the delivery in real time.

Important Notes

Orders assigned to your private drivers do not go to Foodpoint marketplace drivers. They stay within your fleet.
Driver assignment is manual. Orders do not auto-assign — you choose who gets each delivery.
Drivers must have Active status to appear in the assignment dropdown.
Your fleet operates under your full legal responsibility. By using this system, you agree that all aspects of your fleet — including vehicles, driver verification, licenses, insurance, registration, and legal compliance — are entirely your responsibility. Foodpoint only provides the technology platform.
Foodpoint does not verify or manage your drivers. You are responsible for ensuring that all drivers meet the legal and operational requirements in your area.
Driver assignment is manual by default. If you would like to enable automatic assignment of orders to your drivers, please contact support to configure automation for your store.
